Eggnog Dip Recipe
Anyone else wait patiently all year long until the eggnog hits supermarket shelves? It definitely signals the holidays are on the way! Yippee! Now you can enjoy your favorite drink as a creamy dessert – Eggnog Dip. Did I mention the cheesecake part?? It’s the best! These Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups filled with Cheesecake and this Caramel Apple Cheesecake Trifle are proof of that!
When I was little I thought eggnog was soooo grownup. The adults seemed so jolly while sipping their cold beverage from fancy glasses. Maybe that was because they were spiked with something a little stronger, who knows. 🙂 They did share a non-alcoholic version with us kids, and it was so yummy and signaled the holidays were here!
So back to the dip. Yep, this recipe is cheesecake + eggnog which equals a delicious party ready dessert! Plus, it takes less than 10 minutes to make, so during the hustle and bustle of the holidays, you have a go-to recipe everyone will dig, or dip into!
As I mentioned, this is a super easy recipe that requires 5 ingredients (I’m counting the spices as one ingredient), so you really don’t need much in the way of kitchen skills to whip it together. A bowl and mixer will do the trick.
First, you need to whip your cream cheese with your mixer, than blend in your spices and vanilla.
Next, you slowly add your eggnog until it’s combined.
Finally you add in your powdered sugar and you’re done.
If you’re hosting a party, you can easily make this ahead of time. Just place it in the fridge until you’re ready for guests to dip in!
Tips for the Best Eggnog Dip
- For a little added spice and visual interest, you can top it with a light sprinkle of cinnamon.
- If your dip seems too runny, just add a bit more powdered sugar.
- Make this dip ahead of time and keep in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Another wonderful thing about this dessert are the little cookies that actually dip into it! Vanilla Wafers are my favorite, but you could also use ginger snaps or graham crackers for dipping…or a combination of all three.
Tools Used to Make Creamy Eggnog Dip
Stand Mixer – a must have in the kitchen. Perfect for cookies and all your baking needs!
Hand Mixer – if you don’t have a stand mixer then a hand mixer will do. It’s especially good for smaller recipes.
