Yes, the heart-shape is just too cute. I think you could use the pan year round for your baked goods to let people know they were made with heart 🙂

Just the other day I was telling my kids that I wanted to make whoopie pies, since I’ve never made them before. I got on Pinterest looked at one recipe and stepped back because it called for so many ingredients. I love how simple you’ve made yours! Thank you for linking up with us at The Wednesday Showcase this week1

I have never made whoopie pies before and on Saturday I was browsing at the shops and saw a tray for them – was tempted but as I’ve no recipe didn’t bother. I guess I have an excuse to go buy it now! 😀 #YumTum

Thank, Charlotte! I read that these are an American thing, so I wondered what they’d be called elsewhere 🙂 They are yummy whatever you name them!

Erin, I’ve never made whoopie pies, but now I want to give it a try! They not only look amazingly Valentiny and lovely but I’m sure they taste terrific too!

Yes, anyone who bakes would love them. Baking is a little like therapy for me, so every once in a while I bake and them give them all away! Makes everything better 🙂

Yum yum yum! That looks so tasty! I’ve been on a bit of a cookie binge lately. I think it’s been too long since Christmas. All I can think of is baking cookies! Haha! I’ve never tried to make whoopie pies before. But, these looks so good! I think that they’d be perfect for Valentine’s Day! <3

My daughter-in-law in Texas is always making whoopie pies and I’ve yet to ever do so. I’m printing your recipe and will have to try these. I had no clue they had pans in all those various shapes.

    • Erin says

Yes,the heart-shaped pan really makes these cute. You could certainly use the recipe in a regular shaped one too! Enjoy and let me know how they turn out!

These are adorable, and I love whoopie pies! When my husband and I lived in California, most people had never even heard of them, and most of the ones that had heard of them, were familiar with impostor whoopie pies- with regular icing in them, not marshmallow creme goodness!I can’t wait to try this recipe!!

Hi Erin, this recipe would surely make me immensely popular with my son and husband. Since I have done exactly ZERO in terms of Valentine’s Day, it would seem the least i could do would be to make them these outstanding looking whoopie pies. You just might have rescued me from being a really slack mom!

    Hugs and Kisses, Lynn
