1/2cupunsweetened plain almond milk(or 1⁄2 cup canned full fat coconut milk
1/2cupcherriesfresh or frozen
1/4cupbaby spinach leavesoptional
2tablespoonsalmonds or almond butter
1tablespoonground flax seed
Place all ingredients in the blender and add a tiny bit of water to create desired consistency.
Process/blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
We like plain, unsweetened almond milk, but you can use sweetened if you prefer a sweeter smoothie. Vanilla-flavored almond milk is also very good in this recipe.
