Ingredients

  • 1 19.8 ounce package brownie mix {or homemade}
  • 1 3.9 ounce package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 8 ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed or whipped cream
  • 1 12 ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed or whipped cream
  • 1 1.5 ounce bar chocolate candy or toffee bits

Instructions

  • Prepare brownie mix according to package directions or make your own and cool completely. Cut into 1 inch squares.
  • In a large bowl, combine pudding mix and cold milk. Beat with a wire whisk or electric mixer for 2 minutes, then fold in 8 ounces whipped topping (or whipped cream) until no streaks remain.
  • In a trifle bowl or pretty glass serving dish, place half of the cut brownies, half of the pudding mixture and half of the 12 ounce container of whipped topping. Repeat layers. Shave chocolate or place toffee bits onto top layer for garnish. Refrigerate 8 hours before serving.

Notes

You can make this recipe several hours ahead of time and keep in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
