How to Make a Dimensional Letter Holiday Sign

This DIY “Joy” sign is a great addition to your holiday decor. It’s easy to make, but adds rustic charm to any space. With the limited supplies needed, it’s inexpensive too! I can’t decide if I like this one or my Glitter Wood Sign [1] best!

Choose whatever scrapbook paper fits your decorating style or color scheme. It would even be adorable made with Christmas cards left over from last year 🙂

Once you have all your supplies, with dry time, it will take just over an hour to complete.

How to Make a Dimensional Holiday Sign

Step 1

I sanded my wood sign to rough it up a bit, but this step is not necessary if you like the look of the sign as is.

Step 2

Trace your dimensional letters on your scrapbook paper with a pencil and then cut them out. Glue the paper to your dimensional letters.

Step 3

Apply 2-3 coats of mod podge to the letters. Let dry 15 minutes between coats. Sand down slightly after all 3 coats have been applied.
